Osteoporosis is a condition most commonly found in women and that too women in their post-menopausal stage.

SIGNS & SYMPTOMS

Osteoporosis itself has no symptoms; its main consequence is the increased risk of bone fractures. Its possible signs may include:

CAUSES

The most common causes of osteoporosis are:

DIAGNOSIS AND RISK FACTORS

Osteoporosis can be detected at an early stage with a routine ‘Bone Density Test’, also called Bone Densitometry. This may be recommended as a routine test after Menopause.
